The Beverly Theater will celebrate Mob Month throughout August with a new partnership with The Mob Museum, featuring classic organized crime films, 4K restorations, and filmmaker conversations.
The month-long event includes screenings of mob cinema staples spanning from Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas (1990) to the Coen Brothers' Miller's Crossing (1990) and contemporary entries like Dredd (2012). The programming peaks Aug. 26 with a 7 p.m. screening of Goodfellas followed by a post-film conversation with Geoff Schumacher, Vice President of Research, Collections and Programs at The Mob Museum.
The partnership includes a cross-promotion offering visitors mutual discounts. Guests presenting a Mob Museum wristband or membership card at The Beverly Theater receive 20% off any Mob Month screening. Conversely, Mob Month movie ticket holders receive 20% off museum admission, though restrictions apply.
Mob Month highlights include the 20th anniversary screening of The Departed (Aug. 5–8), Casino (Aug. 15–17), and Gomorrah (Aug. 29–31). The lineup balances recent releases with restored classics.
Beyond Mob Month, The Beverly's August calendar features art house programming including the 50th anniversary of Network (1976) and a 4K restoration of The Piano (1993). The Moulin Rouge! 25th anniversary runs Aug. 15–20.
The theater continues its CineSoleil series with titles like Atonement and Far from Heaven, while the late-night CineSomnia slate includes Holy Motors (2012) and Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (2010). Final Girl Film Club returns Aug. 27 with a 25th anniversary screening of The Princess Diaries.
Filmmaker Q&As and special guest conversations are scheduled throughout the month. James Ponsoldt will appear for The End of the Tour screening Aug. 16 at 1:15 p.m., and Meduza will feature a Q&A Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
The Beverly Theater, a nonprofit venue located in downtown Las Vegas, houses a 150-seat main theater, a jazz terrace, and features a 360-square-foot screen with Meyer Sound technology. Tickets and complete programming are available at TheBeverlyTheater.com.
